My Experience in English Class in Grade 7
The Beginning of My Journey in English
As a freshman in junior high school, I was excited to start my journey in English class. The first day of school, I walked into the classroom with enthusiasm and met my new English teacher, Mrs. Smith. She greeted the class with a warm smile and introduced herself to us.
Throughout the semester, we had many interesting activities in class. We learned grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. We practiced speaking and writing in English through group discussions and written assignments. One of my favorite activities was when we worked on a group project about our favorite movies. We had to write a summary of the plot, describe the characters and create a poster to explain our ideas. It was a fun and creative way to practice our skills.
Challenges and Improvements
Of course, I also faced some challenges in learning English. Pronunciation was one of the most difficult parts for me, especially because English is not my first language. But, with consistent practice and feedback from my teacher, I improved my pronunciation and gained more confidence. I learned that practicing is important to make progress in learning a new language.
Overall, my experience in English class in grade 7 was rewarding. I learned a lot and had fun along the way. I am looking forward to continuing my English studies and improving my skills in the upcoming school year.
